My name is Kevin Washington. I’m retired recently from the New York City fire department at the rank of lieutenant, 2009. My company, I was commanding officer of Lanna Company 107. Me and 11 of the firemen were involved in a collision, typically called the “T-bone accident” in the intersection and were T-boned by another fire truck. As I said, 11 firemen went to the hospital.

I was probably the most seriously injured out of all them. In at a certain point, after all the operations and rehab, I needed an attorney, I needed representation and I have known Kuharski and Levit from there representing an individual or set whose involved in another fire truck accident. That was a terrible accident, there was a loss of life but within the fire department, field, organization group, we have heard of Kuharski so after my rehab I reached out with them. They came down and I was interviewed by their staff. I retained them.

We went over the case. They had many meetings with me to understand the ins and outs of the case. I guess maybe to culture the fire department, my role in the accident and the end result was a favorable settlement with the city of New York and the accident happen in 2009 and the case final disposition was in a 2012, I believe. The deposition was a little bit nerved rocking but they did what they could to calm me, let me understand what I could expect during the deposition and they kept me informed, they kept me informed, anytime I called I was always able to talk to Mr. Larry Levitz who was my lead attorney and they always get back to me, answer my questions as best they could.

You know it’s difficult sometimes understanding the different standards of the law but I would recommend this law firm and if I will be unfortunately be injured again I would certainly not hesitate to retain them again.
