Brooklyn Garbage Truck Strikes and Kills Woman

According to the New York police, a 46-year-old woman died July 2 after a garbage truck struck her on a Brooklyn street. The woman was apparently crossing Broadway when she was hit. The driver of the garbage truck, operated by a private company, left the scene without stopping.

The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night. Police found the woman unresponsive, with severe head trauma and other injuries. They pronounced her dead at the scene.

The victim had multiple sclerosis and was using a walker at the time of the accident. Her walker was found near the scene.
