What might I be entitled to after a construction accident?

This is an exact transcription of the video above.

When we talked about damages for accidents, we normally break it up into 3 major categories. The first one that people hear about all the time is pain and suffering. What does that mean? That means the actual pain that you have that you could express to the jury or to the insurance company for the other side and the suffering, the anguish that you had from this, all the ways that has affected your life so you’re entitled to compensation from your pain and suffering.

And you’re entitled to compensation for your pain and suffering from the day of the accident, if you went to a jury verdict, to the day of the verdict and you will be entitled to pain and suffering from the day of the verdict for the rest of your life. There are two major main categories of damages. One of them is your lawsuit of earnings. So if you were out of work for a period of time as a result of the accident, you will be entitled to compensation for how much earnings you lost including the benefits that you lost for not being able to work and if you’re not able to work into the future, you’ll be entitled to a claim for future lost of earns.

The 3rd major category for damages is medical expenses. So you will be entitled to your medical expenses. For the medical expenses that were paid from the time that you were injured up to the time that you have jury verdict and then you will also claim for your future medical damages. So those are the 3 basic categories that you were entitled to damages for and for each category you are entitled to past damages and future damages depending on how badly hurt you are as result of the accident.
